I don’t understand why Hagakure is one of the least popular characters. I loved him from day one, and was fond of him to the very end.

I think people only hate Yamada because he’s a chubby nerd, and because he killed Ishimaru. To be honest, he’s my favorite character, and I hate when people only hate him these reasons.

I don’t like how Owari doesn’t get the proper credit she deserves as a character. She’s seen as useless tomboy eye candy by the majority of the fandom, and that makes me want to flip tables. I just want to remind the fandom some of the reasons why she’s not useless (with as few spoilers as possible).
She was extremely keen in her feelings and intuitions, which revealed and foreshadowed several key moments in the story, such as how she smelled blood in chapter 1 when the murder took place. She even had this shining moment: In chapter 2, Owari and Hinata discovered that the culprit made their escape through the bathroom’s rooftop window after the murder inside the beach house. This was vital to solving the mystery!
She was always ready to fight for a reason: to defend herself from perverts, and sparring with Nidai to become stronger, which became an essential part in her character development. Aside from her being so brash, she had the courage to challenge Monokuma to a fist fight. That says a lot about how much of a strong character she was trying to become.
Every single character in this franchise has played various parts in the entire story…so for the love of everything that is good, don’t ever say Owari was a useless character!

I often wonder what would happen if the casts of dr and sdr2 switched locations. I think the deaths would be a lot different due to the different motives.

I wish more people would realize that Chihiro and Mondo are both kinda sexist. I like them as characters a lot, but it’s true.

I was actually happy when Kiyotaka died when he did. Not because I didn’t like him or wanted him dead (for said reason), but because he didn’t have to deal with the pain of losing his best friend for so long that he did something completely irrational.

I wish Mukuro got more development as a character. It’s sad how the focus is all on Junko while Mukuro is more of in the shadows. Mukuro has definitely grown on me.
